*sigh* (again)

Uggh, been looking online for petri dishes but with little luck. All of the ones within Australia are massive bulk packs for giant laboratories, and the ones that are just the right quantity (about 80 or so disposable ones, or i'll just get fewer and just thoroughly wash them or use dettol or something) are all within the US only. *sigh*.

So, as I need to hurry up and get started, I think I'm just going to use some kind of plastic container as a substitute, because petri dishes are getting very out of reach, especially with school starting again soon.

Plastic containers it is then. I'll have to do my best to make sure they're as sterile as can possibly be. This'll probably work better anyway, because there'll be more space in each container, therefore more oxygen in each and it'll help encourage decomposition. Planning to start experiment some time this week.

*Edit* I have bought plastic plates and will use these instead of containers. I'll cover them with glad wrap so essentially it will be something like a petri dish. They are also white so observations are easier, immensely cheaper and a lot bigger than petri dishes so i believe they'll work better. Will start experiment tomorrow... I think. Must buy groceries tomorrow also because (tomorrow is monday the 19th of April) they restock on mondays and food will be as fresh as I can possibly get them. =)
